How to value collaborative work?
01.Brief
ChallengeMe is a collaborative tool designed for students and teachers. By sharing their written work on the platform, students can evaluate each other and provide feedback. This peer assessment offers numerous benefits: relying on collaboration helps develop soft skills, as students learn to give and receive feedback on their work. The most constructive feedback is highlighted, and mutual support is encouraged.
" We need to immediately see where our students are in their evaluations "
From the teachers point of view, it is also a matter of monitoring the progress of evaluations for major classes, or of personalizing the grade for group work based on the participation of each individual. ChallengeMe asked the agency to create a new graphics system, which could primarily solve the problems of clutter and readability in the “work monitoring” part, and which could be applied to the entire tool.
During the UX design workshops conducted with project team members and users, simplified page principles emerged. The graphic codes conveying key notions of completing and assessment were standardized to address the questions: “Where is the student in the evaluation process?” and “What is the quality of the work provided?”.
After exploring different graphic styles, we chose the most minimalist and meaningful approach, inspired by an analog practice associated with note-taking and revision sheets: the principle of highlighting with a fluorescent marker!
The interface is therefore intentionally clear, with points of contrast and attention marked using colors from the palette, adapted for digital use.
