[board] – The Result of our Design‑Driven Innovation Approach
01.Sensing weak signals and shaping realistic responses
As avid urban cyclists, we quickly sensed the need to develop a lightweight, low-impact mobility solution capable of transporting multiple people. Inspired by the cycling world, we envisioned a new generation of "Rosalie" vehicles – our vision of a more peaceful, low-carbon city. This idea gradually took shape through a global, systemic design approach, allowing us to move from concept to prototype – and soon from prototype to commercial and industrial rollout. Because this isn’t a designer’s fantasy – it’s real innovation, grounded in market potential.
02.A modular, lightweight, electric platform to reinvent urban use cases
[board] is a universal electric base designed to support various modules depending on the need: passenger transport, urban logistics, local services, and more. A smart, low-impact solution designed as a complete system. Compact, robust, and cost-efficient in operation, [board] tackles last-mile delivery challenges – whether in low-emission zones or in the heart of smaller towns.
03.Think, test, build: a design‑driven approach to prototyping
From sketches to proof of concept, we followed a comprehensive design research process. Each usage hypothesis was modeled, tested, and debated. We blended UX methods, low-tech engineering, and industrial design to create the right form, a coherent system, and a viable platform. The demonstrator was co-designed with technical experts, potential users, and industrial partners.
