As part of a town-center revitalization initiative, we collaborated with Villages Vivants to create a line of urban furniture aimed at encouraging the donation and reuse of objects. Inspired by the idea of a shopping street or village center with a variety of specialized shops, we designed themed furniture (for books, textiles, games and toys, etc.) strategically placed throughout a neighborhood. The goal is to reintroduce foot traffic, promote community interaction, and foster a circular economy.
The furniture incorporates transparency and neon yellow to capture the attention of passersby, showcasing the contents like a shop window. The simple, recognizable form enhances both the service identity and its functionality. Each unit includes a bench, inviting people to sit, discuss, or read.
The prototype of the Givebox (designed, manufactured, and assembled in-house) is currently undergoing user testing.
